Canon A590IS is a compact, easy to handle camera.The pictures are reasonably sharp. The shadow areas in some cases turn a pretty opaque black requiring editing.The wide range of options is a bit daunting. Battery life looks pretty good-at least I took over two hundred pictures without any indication of battery run down.
